1. Membership application

This website allows you to apply for membership in the AEE Québec Chapter. You must provide accurate information, select the appropriate membership category, and review the membership declaration before submitting your application. One membership plan may be purchased per order.

2. Membership categories, prices and payment

Regular membership is CAD $50 for 12 months and student membership is CAD $25 for 12 months. Amounts are displayed in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes, if any, and any other payable amounts are shown before payment is confirmed.

Payments are processed by Clover. AEE Québec does not retain your full payment-card number or security code. Keep your order confirmation and report payment errors to membres@aeeqc.ca.

3. Duration, activation and renewal

Each membership is valid for 12 months. Membership is activated after payment is confirmed and, where required, after eligibility for the selected category is verified. Payment is one-time only: there is no automatic recurring charge or automatic renewal. Members must renew manually at the end of the membership period.

4. Eligibility and scope of membership

Student membership is reserved for persons who can demonstrate student status upon request. AEE Québec may request information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility for a membership category.

Membership in AEE Québec is membership in the local chapter. It does not automatically include international membership in the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) or any AEE professional certification. Chapter members are encouraged to maintain or obtain separate AEE membership.

5. Benefits and future changes

Membership benefits are those published by AEE Québec at the time of purchase. The Board of Directors may change categories, fees and benefits for new memberships and future renewals. Such changes do not retroactively alter the terms of a membership already paid for.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Membership dues are normally non-refundable once membership has been activated, except in the case of a duplicate payment, transaction error, or where otherwise required by law. For assistance, contact membres@aeeqc.ca with your order reference and do not send payment-card details by email.

7. Order review and confirmation

Before submitting an order, check the membership category, contact details and total amount. Correct any errors before payment and keep the confirmation sent after the order. If you do not receive it, contact the Chapter with your email address and purchase date.

8. Service delivery and events

Membership is a service and no physical product is shipped. Event registrations, training and other activities may be subject to separate terms presented at registration.

9. Website use

Use this website lawfully, do not impersonate another person, and do not attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems. Avoid sending sensitive information through the contact form or by email.

10. Content and intellectual property

Website text, logos, images and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. Their display does not grant permission for commercial reproduction. The Association of Energy Engineers' trademarks, names, acronyms and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used by the Chapter under applicable authorizations.

11. Availability and support

The website may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or because of a technical incident. If payment is interrupted, check for a confirmation or contact the Chapter before submitting another payment to avoid a duplicate transaction.

12. Applicable law and resolving issues

These terms are interpreted in accordance with laws applicable in Québec and Canada. Nothing limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived. Where distance-contract rules or other mandatory rules apply, statutory rights remain applicable.

For any issue, first contact AEE Québec at membres@aeeqc.ca with your order reference and the resolution you are requesting.

13. Changes to these terms

The terms presented at purchase apply to that order, subject to applicable law. Each new version states its effective date. Updates do not retroactively change an existing order without a valid basis.
